Compact and easy-to-use instrument for troubleshooting all types of electrical motors and generators, large as well as small. The measurement principle is simple and faults are identified with comparative measurements. No reference values are required. The instrument tests the current (mA) through the measuring object using a high frequency signal with a special waveform and when one or several windings are short-circuited the test values will differ considerably. It is not necessary to disassemble the measuring object, inductance test (comparative measurement) and insulation test are best performed in places where the accessibility is most favourable, e.g. motor clutch terminals, motor protectors, contactors or starting devices. The measuring point may be several hundred metres away from the measuring object. LED indication of battery status. Auto power off after ca. 12 minutes.
- Fast and simple troubleshooting of: single- or multi-speed motors, slip-ring motors, generators, frequency converters, rotors, electric tools, etc
- The measurement principle is based on inductance measurement with a high frequency signal
- 500 V insulation test
- Used within such areas as electrical service and maintenance in industry, electromechanical workshops, military defence, the power industry, education, etc
