A connection to the power supply is not always available in the locations in which network devices (e.g. WLAN Access Points, print servers, cameras, IP telephones etc.) are installed.With Power-over-Ethernet the voltage supply can be led to the device via the existing network cable.

Method of operation:

An injector is used to connect the voltage supply to one end of the Ethernet cable. At the other end of the cable the voltage is separated from the Ethernet signal again by a Splitter, or the cable is directly connected to a device with PoE capability.

• Power supply to network devices (10/100/1000 Mbps) via existing Ethernet cabling (up to 100 metres)
• Power-over-Ethernet standard: IEEE 802.3af, compatible to products from other manufacturers
• Supplies devices with up to 15.5 Watts
