ADAM-4000 is a series of modules that are suited to measurement, control and monitoring in harsh industrial environments. The modules are connected together in a RS485 2-wire network. Connection to PCs is made via an opto-isolated RS232/RS485-interface.
By means of repeaters a network of 255 modules with a total length of 19 km can be interconnected. The possibility of long distances from the PC makes the system highly flexible.
The modules are fitted on a DIN rail or panel and can be stacked. All settings are program-controlled from the PC. Own applications can be programmed in BASIC, C and Pascal as well as being placed under Windows. Programs can be stored in EPROM and the modules can thus be run without any PC.
