Power resistor in aluminium profile with extremely large cooling surface area. The resistor is very well suited as a heating element, for example, to avoid condensation build up in enclosures and similar. Provided with 500 mm connector leads.
NOTE! The sum of the resistors outer temp. level and environmental air temp. should not exceed 170 °C.
In certain applications power regulation by thermostat can be necessary to avoid excessive temperatures in the resistor. This applies first and foremost to resistors with a surface temp. increase in excess of 130 °C.
Suitable element power for the desired temperature increase is given by the formula:
PH = ΔT(kxA) - PV
This formula applies to still environmental air. By mounting outside the housing the element′ s effect should be doubled to compensate for the cooling effect of the wind.
