Installation of ADSL
When ADSL is switched off, the device distinguishes between ISDN and analogue lines.
If the house installation is ISDN, a "splitter" must be used before the Swisscom NT (U-Bus). ADSL devices are then connected to a separate socket on the splitter.
For an analogue home installation, ADSL devices can be connected directly to each telephone socket. However, a filter must be inserted between each telephone and telephone socket to prevent interference caused by the high-frequency ADSL signals.
